The Bachelor of Arts in Political Science offered at Lynn is perhaps one of the most interactive and innovative programs of its kind. Our political science students have spoken personally with military officers, veterans, members of Congress, United Nations ambassadors, U.S. presidents and their aides. They’ve interned with several different federal offices; agencies and organizations in Washington, D.C.; a federal judge; a law firm; the local Republican party and the Obama campaign. They’ve even sat in a WWII bomber plane and interviewed a WWII bomber pilot. Earning your political science degree at Lynn will be well-rounded and exciting. You’ll explore the past and present of political issues and dynamics in the U.S., with regional and global contexts. You’ll have multiple "hands-on" learning experiences—for example, you might interview journalists who cover the field, politicians who practice their craft or politically active citizens of various countries. By the time you’ve earned your degree, you’ll have begun your career with a bold yet detailed foundation of both local and global political relations. If you choose, you can continue on by pursuing a law, master’s or doctoral degree in topics including international relations or american politics. You can enter the job market well prepared for a career in governmental, business or non-governmental organizations around the world.
