2365 Diploma in Electrical Installations

Course Description

Programme Aim: The Level 2 Diploma is primarily aimed at candidates aged between 16 and 18, who have been unable to gain an Electrical Installation Advanced Apprenticeship and are able to attend College on a Full Time (16 hours per week) basis, or, candidates aged 19+ wishing to gain knowledge qualifications which will help them to enter the Electrical trade. The C&G 2365 Level 2 Diploma gives exemption from a number of units of the EAL/City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Services and effectively reduces the time required to complete the Advanced Apprenticeship Programme by one year. Programme Contents: • City & Guilds 2365 Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation. • Full time students will also be required to undertake Functional Skills at Level 2 in English, Maths or ICT. Mode of attendance: 1. The Full Time option for candidates aged 16 to 18 will be available at the Lincoln and Newark Centres, it will run for one academic year and attendance at College will be required for three days per week. 2. Candidates aged 19+ will be required to attend at the Newark Centre on two evenings per week for two years.

Career outcomes

Successful completion of the City & Guilds 2365 Level 2 Diploma will provide the qualifications required for the first stage of an Electrical Installation Advance Apprenticeship. Students will also get an insight into working in the electrical trade.
