AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting

Course Description

The AAT Education and Training scheme offers 3 levels of study: Level 2 Certificate in Accounting, Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and Level 4 Diploma in Accounting. Students can commence study at the Certificate level with no previous accounting experience. Students must register with the AAT to be eligible to sit the examinations. This programme is also available as an Apprenticeship giving young people aged 16 and over the opportunity to combine the experience of working, with the added benefit of college attendance on a day release (or evening) basis. Content: * Accounts Preparation 1 & 2 * Costs & Revenues * Indirect Tax (VAT) * Spreadsheets * Professional Ethics

Career outcomes

Any of the following: RSA in Accounting, GCSE in Accounting, Irish Leaving Certificate in Accounting, AAT Foundation, AAT Certificate in Accounting, A Level Accounting, HNC or GNVQ Business & Finance, OCR Certificate in Accounting, AS Level in Accounting, Scottish Standard Grade in Accounting, NVQ 2 in Accounting. Students who are over 21 need to have 5 years' full-time accounting experience. Lincoln College will require a photocopy of certificates prior to enrolment. Attendance is as follows: Full time: 3 Days per week Part Time: Either 1 Day per week, or 2 Evenings per week.
