The BA (Honours) Degree in Accounting and Finance is an excellent springboard from which to launch a professional career in accountancy or finance. This Level 8 programme of three years’ duration has been carefully planned to equip students with extensive accounting and finance knowledge and a sound understanding of the modern business world. Over the course of this degree, students will develop a good mix of subject-specific, technical and more general transferable skills.

Career opportunities for graduates include: Trainee Accountant in practice and industry where a period of further study will allow the graduate to qualify as a professional accountant, Finance functions in financial services, funds administration, banking, insurance and industry, Consultancy in the areas of Accountancy, Taxation, Audit, Corporate Finance and Insolvency, Secondary Teaching specialising in Accounting and Business (subject to completion of Post Graduate Diploma in Education). Graduates’ options for further study include programmes at Postgraduate and Master’s level degrees. Graduates are granted generous exemptions from the examinations of the professional accountancy bodies.
