The course provides a practical approach to accounting work. You will study receipt and payment transactions, communications, law, business administration, computerised accounts and data processing. You will also be expected to complete Functional Skills IT and English as part of your chosen path of study.

Upon successful completion of the course learners typically progress on to a level 3 accountancy course. Upon successful completion of the course learners are able to progress on to a level 3 course or enter the workplace.
