If you strive for a career supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, then Lambton College’s Developmental Disabilities certificate program is for you. This program has industry-focused training courses and promotes the use of modern technology. Students utilize electronic tablets in order to demonstrate accessible communication tools for non-verbal communicators. Three new physical limitation suits have enabled students to actively experience the effects of aging and limited mobility. Additional instructional aides include interactive books, timers, adaptive toys and more.

Students graduating from this program may find potential employment opportunities in a variety of settings. Some of the positions include but are not limited to: Support Workers in residential group homes; Semi-independent living situations; Job coaches; Vocational settings; Health care fields or other mental health professions.
