From tracking ancient diseases to examining modern cultures, this discipline is critical to tracing our journey through time and exploring our existence today. Additionally, anthropology can be effectively applied in: • forensics - to identify human remains • cultural resource management - to find and preserve historical artifacts • immigration services, NGO's, health care, and other settings - to navigate cultural and social issues As well as attending core courses like human evolution and world cultures, you will have the freedom to choose from a wide spectrum of electives. Depending on your interests, you may opt to spend your Monday morning class reading about African farming practices, pouring over human skeletons, or honing your molecular science techniques. You will also have the opportunity to be actively involved in multiple streams of research and even intern at our world-renowned Paleo-DNA lab, host to international ancient DNA studies and forensic work. And if you don’t mind getting a little dirty, why not try your hand at archaeology?
