Economics is concerned with the production, consumption and distribution of wealth, and aims to explain the reasons for and consequences of decisions made by individuals, households, firms or governments. This joint honours course enables you to combine economics with another subject and includes the opportunity to study abroad at a partner university in the second year. Economics graduates find employment in a wide range of occupations across the economy, with a significant number working in the financial sector. We have graduates pursuing careers as economists in the City of London, in management positions nationally and internationally, and in both the private and public sectors. In addition, many of our students progress to study at postgraduate level.
