Graduates from the programme have obtained employment with St Paul's, Salisbury and Gloucester Cathedrals, English Heritage and other conservation practices. Throughout the UK and Europe there is a growing need for skilled practitioners able to function effectively with the skills and knowledge of the traditional artisan. Whilst incorporating the essential practical and technological criteria associated with contemporary practices, there is also an increasing need to retain and maintain the values and techniques of the craft through conserving and restoring the character and appearance of historic buildings.
