Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics(International Economics)

Course Description

The programme is designed to develop a thorough understanding of economics and its underlying mechanisms, at both the micro and macro level. You will learn how different markets work and understand the dynamics in the global economy –for example gaining insight about the factors influencing economic growth and why economic development varies between different parts of the world. The first year courses provide you with basic economic theory and basic knowledge about entrepreneurship and business administration and accounting. During the second year the programme contains courses in statistics and econometrics, providing you with the basic tools for analysing economic data. During the fifth semester you choose between courses in different areas and, if you qualify, the opportunity to spend the semester abroad at one of JIBS' partner universities. During your final semester you write a Bachelor's Thesis in Economics in the field where you have focused on.
