The course covers the design of consumer goods and capital equipment such as electronic equipment, garden products, medical equipment, white goods, sports equipment, entertainment products and much more. The course provides students with knowledge in design, engineering technology, materials and manufacturing processes, computer-aided design, model making and marketing. Students complete both individual and group project work during the course and project work is designed to introduce and develop creative problem solving, communication and modelling skills.
