This course is designed for those education and multi-agency practitioners with a Foundation Degree in an Education related subject area, such as Learning Support, Childhood Studies, Education Studies or Teaching, Learning and Mentoring Practice. The programme will equip learners with the knowledge, understanding, qualities and skills associated with their area of practice.

This programme is suitable for those intending to work with children and young people in a broad range of educational settings and roles. Examples include: family support, roles within charitable organisations, learning support, health and welfare promotional work and consultancy and educational research. Some graduates progress to Qualified Teacher Status in the Primary or Post 16 sectors, via an appropriate Postgraduate Certificate in Education. Other graduates progress to further study including Master’s Degrees in Education.
