Fine art is perhaps one of the most challenging and rewarding subjects in art and design, giving you the opportunity to maximise your creative and critical skills and to develop as an independent practitioner. Join our Fine Art degree and you’ll be able to experiment with an extensive range of approaches including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, installation, video and lens-based and digital media. Choose to specialise in any one of these or broaden your skills in each as you progress through the degree.

Pursue employment in a range of art-related industries. Opportunities include setting up your own business; running an art gallery; work as an art teacher or as a specialist arts officer in the public or voluntary sector. Further study opportunities exist at postgraduate level. Transferable communication and presentation skills will make you sought after by employers from other industries.
