NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy - Business Studies - Health & Safety - Supervisory Management - Body and facial electrical and mechanical therapy - Body massage and figure diagnosis - Anatomy and Physiology - Epilation hair removal The qualification is based on continuous assessment and builds on skills learnt at level 2 which is a pre-requisite to commencing this qualification, this will be awarded after practical assessments, written papers and when assignments are achieved. Case studies on clients are incorporated in a realistic working environment in facial and body therapy work over a period of sessions - There is opportunity to attend a 1 week work experience during term time to gain first hand experience in industry. Students must seek a suitable salon environment for the duration but it must be Health and Safety vetted by the College to ensure a full risk assessment has been undertaken. This often leads to offers of employment. - A one week 'guest speaker' industry week occurs mid-year to provide the students with enrichment opportunities in topics that are not covered in their curriculum. - Opportunity to enter national competitions in electrolysis and beauty treatments are at students own discretion.
