Course Description

The growing complexity of the global economy and the continued development of exploitative property rights has increased the demand for graduates grounded in the principles of economics and law. Economics and law are closely linked, broaching the same fundamental issues that confront people and organisations in their daily activities. Legal professionals increasingly refer to economists for advice, in particular over issues pertaining to contract analysis, intellectual property rights and the assessment of damages.

Research indicates that, generally, Economics graduates experience better than average rates of pay as employers value their analytical and problem-solving skills. Graduates will be employable in a range of general business and management roles, however with a strong and unique area of specialism will be well positioned for specialist roles related to Economists which require expertise in Law.
