Course Description

BA/BA (Hons) Accountancy Duration : 4 Years Accountants play an important role in business, providing key information that underpins the work of decision makers in organisations. As a professional accountant you’ll prepare financial statements and record business transactions; you’ll also use information systems to track financial performance, and participate in mergers and acquisitions and quality management. Our programme will encourage you to develop a broad and comparative understanding of the practices of accounting and develop an ability to evaluate theories and evidence concerning the effects of accounting on organisations and society. You’ll benefit from using practical accounting packages, our small class sizes and excellent access to staff, as well as a series of guest speakers to enhance your learning. Our degree is held in high regard by the accounting profession, not only because we teach the professional body qualifications, but also due to the number of our graduates employed by major accountancy firms and Blue Chip organisations in the UK and overseas.
