Course Description

In today's global environment, employers expect graduates to have an international perspective, to understand how business operates with customers and suppliers around the world, and how they are affected by events in other countries. One of our flagship programme, the BA (Hons) International Business and Human Resource Management (HRM) will prepare you to compete for a wide range of job opportunities in UK and internationally. While gaining a broad understanding of business and the society in which it operates, you'll also develop essential leadership, management and communication skills and the global perspective you need to excel in a career in business and HRM. By choosing a joint honours in International Business and HRM, you'll gain a solid foundation in business and management a develop a distinct specialism with 50% of your modules related to HRM - topics such as management issues, employment rights and responsibilities, managing people and diversity and managing and developing talent. If you wish to specialise in HRM, you will need to choose BA (Hons) International Business and HRM on application to GCU via UCAS. At the end of your first year, you’ll have the opportunity to change your area of specialism to Finance, Economics, Marketing or Law or you can choose to study BA (Hons) International Business as a standalone subject.
