Course Description

In today's global environment, employers expect graduates to have an international perspective, to understand how business operates with customers and suppliers around the world, and how they are affected by events in other countries. One of our flagship programme, the BA (Hons) International Business and Law will prepare you to compete for a wide range of job opportunities in UK and internationally. While gaining a broad understanding of business and the society in which it operates, you'll also develop essential leadership, management and communication skills and the global perspective you need to excel in business today. By choosing a joint honours in International Business and Law, you’ll gain a solid foundation in business and management and develop a distinct specialism with 50% of your modules related to Law – topics such as EU law, employment law, international trade and competition and internet and business law. If you wish to specialise in Law, you will need to choose BA (Hons) International Business and Law on application to GCU via UCAS. At the end of your first year, you’ll have the opportunity to change your area of specialism to Economics, Human Resource Management, Marketing or Finance or you can choose to study BA (Hons) International Business as a standalone subject.
