American Sign Language – English Interpreter Program (C110)

Course Description

American Sign Language – English Interpreter is a three-year program that trains sign language interpreters. The program emphasizes skills in English, American Sign Language (ASL), translation and interpretation, and knowledge of Deaf culture. Students take many of their classes in ASL and do a substantial amount of their classwork in our onsite language laboratory. Students also experience community-based placements with working interpreters and with Deaf mentors. This program is unique in Ontario.
