Course Description

Today the vast majority of decisions made in business require information generated by management information systems. These systems are computer based and provide decision makers with the critical information necessary to manage a business effectively. Today companies use information systems to support all their activities including managing customer relationships, human resources, finance, logistics and operations. Management Information Systems must be designed, implemented and maintained. This involves an array of technologies including the World Wide Web, mobile devices, enterprise systems, social media and cloud computing. This programme aims to provide students with the skills to apply technological solutions to modern and dynamic enterprises. This is a highly practical programme combining information technology and business subjects. One of the key strength of the programme is the integration of emerging technologies such as cloud computing and virtualisation into the curriculum.
