Core business principles are developed throughout the programme, but there is an emphasis on application of theory to practice in the first year. Learn about the current practices used by successful business and why some businesses fail. In year 2 you can put your entrepreneurial talents to the test to produce a business plan for a “Dragon’s Den” type event. Find out whether you have what it takes and how you can improve your skills. You will undertake a work placement and make recommendations to improve the business. The knowledge you have gained about what makes a successful business and a successful entrepreneur will be developed further in your final year. This will give you a head start in developing real life business skills and recognising the challenges of a global business world. You can use your experience to improve your employment potential. Throughout the course, particular attention is paid to interpersonal and transferable skills - the attributes looked for by employers when recruiting.

After successful graduation you will be able to proceed to nationally and internationally recognised postgraduate courses and you will find that you have exemptions from the examinations and study requirement of the major professional bodies.
