This degree has been designed to incorporate the basics of bookkeeping and accounting so students can understand the basics on which accounting relies. This is also useful for getting a part time job whilst studying. You will then study the most important parts of preparing accounts and providing costing information, and aspects of managing an accounting department. Our intention is that all successful students will be equipped with the range of qualifications and skills needed to start a career as soon as they complete. The Hampshire Business School has been running professional courses in Accounting for over 25 years. In 2011 we will have approximately 250 students studying professional AAT and CIMA qualifications as well as approximately 110 studying the BA(Hons) Business Management. We have huge experience of delivering accounting and degree programmes, and we are uniting that expertise in this programme. Our programmes are taught by academic staff who are all highly qualified, have experience of working in accounting roles in industry, and who are flexible in their teaching approach and aware of the needs of students. This is a cost effective degree that gives graduates employability skills as soon as they complete.
