You know exactly what your future career is, your grades are flawless, but we don’t offer a program that exactly fits the bill. Maybe the individually structured program (ISP) is for you. The purpose of the ISP is to make it possible for academically superior, well-motivated students who know their long-term goals to put together a program themselves. It must be based on an existing departmental program, but you adapt it to your particular needs. For example, a student intending to enter a program in Molecular Biology in a particular graduate school could ensure that his or her undergraduate preparation is most appropriate to that program; or again, a student in Translation might wish to have a background in a particular area of knowledge for a specific type of job.

You work out your program of study with an appropriate advisor when you enrol in the program. Your proposal must be accompanied by a careful, although not necessarily long, statement of your goals that indicates the specific reason for your program choice.
