This course is for 16-18 year olds who wish to make a career for themselves in the beauty therapy industry.This course covers the following areas of beauty therapy: * Facials, cleansing, toning and massaging skin * Applying make-up * Eyelash tinting, eyebrow shaping and application of false eyelashes * Manicures, pedicures and specialist treatments * Removal of unwanted hair by waxing

There are many career opportunities for beauty therapists, including working in a salon, self-employment, or working overseas in hotels or onboard cruise ships. You may also wish to progress onto a NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy or VRQ Level 3 programme.
