All students follow the same modules based on the Rules of Combination allowed by the awarding body.Some of the units are Mandatory; Optional units (subject to staffing and timetabling) are located in Modules, which include Biology, Chemistry and Forensic Science where forensic laboratory and scene of crime work are studied.Also included are Study Skills, Maths and IT. Assessment is mainly continuous and geared to the needs of mature learners.

The course provides a pathway onto a variety of Higher Education degree courses at Universities. These include Forensic Science and other science courses. We have special links with London Metropolitan University, City University and the University of East London University where many of our students have gone onto to further study and achieve further qualifications. Students can also progress onto our Foundation Degree course in Crime Scene and Forensic Investigation course, which is validated by London Metropolitan University.
