The curriculum of the IFAA program focuses on fundamental business and economics issues, and provides students with the necessary grounding for the more specialized courses that follow. Subsequent courses in risk management, insurance and finance further enhance the qualities necessary for insurance professionals, financial analysts and financial planners. In addition to the comprehensive training that they receive in the actuarial courses, students are also prepared for the actuarial exams of the Society of Actuaries (SOA) and the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS). Students completing the IFAA program are in a strong position to develop an exciting and rewarding career in the insurance industry or a related field. Please refer to the Undergraduate Student Handbook for the detailed course list, course descriptions and study scheme. Please choose “UG” for Academic Career, input your “Year of Intake” for Academic Year, choose “Faculty of Business Administration” for Faculty Description and “BBA Ins, Fin & Actu Analysis” for Academic Program. In addition to the summer internship program organized by the Faculty, the IFAA Program also offers our students a tailor-made Actuarial Training Program. The Program is a pioneering scheme in which participants work in the actuarial departments of insurance and related companies (such as actuarial consulting firms and reinsurers) for at least six months.
