BTEC Level 1 qualifications are designed to enhance learners' work and life skills and provide a broad educational basis for further training, Further Education, or for moving to employment within the Public Services. The BTEC Level 1 Diploma in Public Services has been developed to give learners the opportunity to engage in learning which is relevant to them and will provide opportunities to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal skills and attributes essential for successful performance in working life. Learners will study various units which explore the realms of the Public Services. These units will include personal and social development, expedition skills, group projects and other Public Services related units. Learners will also undertake numerous enrichment activities related to the Public Services during the course.
