Level 1 Certificate in Health and Social Care and Young Person Settings

Course Description

This Course has been designed to develop the skills you need to work in Health and Social Care and childrens and Young Peoples settings. The vocational units are intended to provide practical 'hands on' learning. Functional Skills is important as these lessons will help to develop your maths and literacy skills needed for work. The Level 1 Certificate in Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children's and Young People's Settings allows for progression to the Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care, the Level 1 Diploma in Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children's and Young People's Setting and the Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care*. The knowledge gained will provide valuable learning should a learner choose and to progress onto an Apprenticeship in a related area. To gain this qualification, learners must achieve a minimum of 25 credits: 20 credits from the mandatory units a minimum of 5 credits from the optional units. *Learners should be at least 14 years of age for the Certificate
