This one-year certificate program trains students to offer personal care and home management services to clients in community or institutional settings. Personal support workers are valuable members of the health care team, providing services to clients with physical, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Students learn hands-on in the classroom, on community placements and in the new home environment simulation lab equipped with high-end audio/visual equipment and interactive mannequins. PSWs are highly sought-after as health care providers, working under a regulated health professional or in a supported independent living environment.
