Applied Biological Sciences (Applied Biological Sciences)

Course Description

The applied biological sciences concentration provides students with an opportunity to prepare for applied professional studies in many health fields such as medicine, dentistry, veterinary or other related fields. This concentration is also well suited for those who have a non-specific interest in biology or plan on continuing to graduate school in the biological sciences. Students interact with faculty in classrooms, use state-of-the-art labs and, when appropriate, attend outdoor settings that may include the Sonoran Desert, surrounding ecosystems and the landscape of the greater Phoenix area. This major is eligible for the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) program at the following location: Polytechnic campus. Students from Western states, who select this major and campus, may be eligible for reduced nonresident tuition at a rate of 150 percent of Arizona resident tuition plus all applicable fees.
