Applied Biological Sciences (Secondary Education in Biology)

Course Description

The secondary education in biology concentration of the BS in applied biological sciences qualifies students for state of Arizona certification in secondary biology education. The concentration is a rigorous science-based curriculum, providing graduates with the ability to address, in the classroom, a wide range of biological and environmental issues. Students will have advisors in the School of Letters and Sciences and Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College. This major is eligible for the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) program at the following location: Polytechnic campus. Students from Western states, who select this major and campus, may be eligible for reduced nonresident tuition at a rate of 150 percent of Arizona resident tuition plus all applicable fees.
