Students wishing to pursue a major in Economics / Finance are directed to consult with the department chair at the earliest possible date. Thorough exposure to current economic theory and problem solving is provided. Political, social and business elements are integrated into economic decisions. Creative thinking in and both individual and team projects help students develop sound economic solutions.

A degree in economics prepares students to work in area of finance and banking, particularly in commercial banks. Economics majors are also employed by economic and market research firms to study and analyze economics trends.
